My research interests are in airborne particles that cause lung disease. This varies from allergens causing asthma or particles that cause sarcoidosis which is a granulomatous disease. My work has focused on determining pathways that cause granulomatous disease especially in eastern North Carolina. I am a translational scientist who likes the bench to bedside approach.
